When You Give, Lives Change!
Last year, the average Sourceree employee gave $150. Here are some examples of how the generous gifts have helped families in the region. Each gift ensured that:
- Four victims of violent crimes were provided with supportive services; or
- 680 diapers were provided through our regional diaper bank; or
- Two children received Botvin LifeSkills Youth Drug & Alcohol Prevention programming.
During the last two years, Sourceree employee contributions have exceeded $3,000. Here are some examples of how that funding was leveraged:
- More than 92 women and children who escaped domestic abuse were provided safe nights; or
- Two families were provided home visiting services to increase parental knowledge of early childhood development and to improve their child’s school readiness.
(Note: These are examples of a small portion of programs we fund. On average, it costs about $38 to help someone through a United Way-funded program.)
